Review: Received an advance screening of Wreck-It Ralph see today. I waited at least a year for this film and it did not disappoint. I am a hardcore fan of Disney and was before I even played my first video game. But I have to be honest, sometimes Disney does not get it. They see something trending and instant money maker and jump head first, even if they do not understand the subject they are addressing. So it makes you wonder if they could do to really right film dedicated to what they do not actually succeed in video games is not a strong point Disneys (for rare cases like Kingdom Hearts, except that really successful only because they some have nothing to do with the production). Believe me Ive had enough cheap marketing tie / movies / buy for your baby due to the marks on the carton Disney games to know what they were talking about.But Wreck-it Ralph nailed. Beginning to end, this is a love letter to games, made by people who understand the game (and I highly suspect John Lasseters role as executive producer of a significant contribution to its perfection). It reminded me of why we love the game actually. This is not a technology or image or marketing hype. What they feel. Wide range of emotions, which they take from us as we delve into their world. The joy of victory, stinging pain of loss, laughter and tears. I felt like everything in this movie. World ugly place and personally, my faith that gets me through. But if you have a game or movie that takes you into a fantasy world where everything is possible to experience, things start to look a little brighter. Piles of paper faced Youre look smaller. Terrible news a little further away. This is what art and beauty. They heal, help us to do things in a better light. And I thank God for them.I did not expect me to wax philosophical film, but this kind of hairpin I am.Side note: I was a little disappointed that she remained until the medium and I, frankly, find slapstick tedious. I thought the 3D was excellent, providing a good dive depth and texture without seeming gimicky (and im not a die hard fan of 3D). Also, be sure to make time for a short in the beginning, the paper guy. Reminded me of the classic Disney animated shorts, and it's not bad thing.A A few weeks ago I left California Adventure Park and heard the little boy to his father about Wreck-it Ralph. With big eyes enthusiasm of youth, he told his father that it is a movie about video games .... Who does not love that? Well said, baby, well said.
