Review: This is the third, and arguably best, the spaghetti western trilogy is. It is ironic that at the time the three Sergio Leone Western was released, they were widely panned by critics as being Pove even rude imitation of American-made Western. The fact that they were filmed in Italy and Spain in receiving funny nickname that was designed to break down time.Somehow the quarter century or so since the release, critics, they tend to change their attitudes and now these films are generally considered classics. Maybe it's because Clint Eastwood was primarily known only as bananas, second, noisy Yates, the television series RAWHIDE when these films were produced, but since then has achieved stardom. But I also think it goes beyond that. I think the critics decided to take another look at these movies and realized that they were too early to write them off. Actually I think three films were considerably better than most of what Hollywood produces. In fact, I think TGTBATU ranks among western best all the time products are transported in mind these magnificent films of John Ford, the master of this genre Context, and his protege brothers, John Wayne is incomparable. I have nothing but praise for this movie. In fact, I rank it as one of my favorite movies of all time. I could write volumes on what is good about this movie. But when its quality was often repeated in other reviews viewer, I will focus on what other people do not like about it. Most of the comments endb had a major complaint: the film is too long. I agree. In fact, despite its length almost three hours I was disappointed that it ended. I was so engrossed in the movie that I was helpless to return to reality. The combination of history, cinematography, acting and music score by leaving nothing to be desired except more of the same thing too! These sequences which seemed to draw on the opinion of other reviewers were needed to create the mood and drive home important points. For example, would the opening sequence is considered as long as the reasons Angel Eyes mocks one unlucky man on a casual meal. But me scenes like this are what makes the movie great! Time allows the viewer to fully appreciate the stunning replication of primitive home, and this life is pathetic in impoverished its people. I felt as if I was sitting there at the table, I was half tempted to reach a bowl and spoon participate in food. Then, all the while being suspense built against the largest point inevitable. You know its coming, but not when the length of the scene drives you crazy, but makes it more satisfying when it happens. Another example is when Tuco punish Joe by forcing him to go into the desert. This is perhaps the only time that would be bored with a movie. But again, I think it was time to justify the scene that we might receive the full effect of the experience and enjoy the music haunting at the same time. Joe's subsequent progress would not have much credibility this sequence has been shortened. In my opinion, one of the essential components of a great filmmaker atmosphere, which absorbs our attention. This often takes time, lots of time. For example, many of the scenes in the magnificent film Dr. Zhivago almost painfully long, but were necessary to create the exciting surreal humor, and the film would not be great without them. In many ways, TGTBATU same kind of greatness. It is a sweeping epic with characters very compelling and beautiful environment that draws the viewer in and not release him until the credits start to roll closed. When you are, you feel that you have been on a long journey and exciting. Such a trip takes time.In summary, if you havent seen this movie, buy it immediately. Dont rent it because you do not want to part with it once you've seen it.Then curl up with it on a cold, rainy Sunday afternoon, when you are in a hurry to do something.
